Inspired by the Drawing (for) Europe exhibition which took place at the Institut Français in London in 2018, Drawing Europe Together showcases the original artwork from the exhibition as well as never-before-seen illustrations from additional leading artists.

The collection includes many well-known illustrators like Quentin Blake, Claude Dubois, Jim Field, Emily Gravett, Judith Kerr, Oliver Jeffers, Sarah McIntyre, Lydia Monks, Thomas Müller and Chris Riddell and includes a powerful introduction by Axel Scheffler. Each illustration is accompanied by a brief explanation from the illustrator.

Benji Davies writes: My drawing is a metaphor for my feelings on the division of the UK referendum…. The eggs represent the stars of the EU flag, our shared values…

Or Lydia Monks on her bee image: Surely, it’s always better to work in a team.

A wonderful challenging collection of images that encourages thoughtful engagement and response.
