Invitation to Write a Blog Post for World Kid Lit
World Kid Lit are busy collecting articles for September and yours could be one of them!
September is World Kid Lit Month, the time to discover international literature for children and young adults. Currently, Johanna, Jackie and Kelly, the editors at World Kid Lit blog, are busy collecting articles – and there are still a few slots for new contributors! If there are any international books that you love and would like to share with the world, they would love to receive your work.
This time around World Kid Lit would love to publish posts with clear themes and titles, like My All-time Favourite Picture Books from Arabic or Top 5 Food-themed Stories from Asia or Top 5 Ghost Stories from Latin America. Each post should include at least 3 short reviews. Alternatively, if you have a favourite theme, country, or region and can come up with a list as long as your arm, then they would be happy to include listicles too. Their only requirement is that you have read the books yourself and highly recommend them.
As usual, each post will end with a bio about the writer with the community, so do share a bit about yourself. If you have written for them before, feel free to update your existing bio – and do not forget to include a fun fact and an optional headshot.
If you would like to get involved, please send your proposals by 30 June via the Google Forms link here and the blog posts by 15 July so they have enough time to plan out the schedule. Should you need more time, reach out to the team and let them know!
Please send articles using the template here to the World Kid Lit blog address: worldkidlitblog@gmail.com.
If you have any questions, reach out to the team and they will be happy to help!
