Palestine in Children’s Books – Fundraiser event

This IBBY UK event has been set up as we are so keen to do something to support colleagues and children in Palestine and also to answer requests for information about children’s books
about Palestine.

We will be sharing information books, picture books and fiction that look at Palestinian life, history and culture, in English and Arabic. We will also focus on the work of the Tamer Institute for Community Education, a non-profit, non-governmental organisation set up in 1989 which works with children and young people across the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

We are holding the event in the Cafe Palestina and ticket price includes tea and pastries. The cafe will be open afterwards for anyone who wants to eat there. It will be possible to join the
event online.

This is the first of a series of fundraising events that we will be holding to support IBBY Palestine.

Cost for in person £8, £5 for online, and please add an amount of at least £5 as a donation to the IBBY Palestine fund.
